Vice President, Human Resources Officer

Plans, organizes, implements and administers the Bank's human resource function. Manages employee recruitment and hiring, benefits administration, affirmative action, staff training, employee relations, employee events and wellness initiatives, compensation and performance management. Ensures human resources regulatory and legal compliance.

The HRO provides a 50/50 mix of strategic business partnership with the bank's senior leadership team as well as day to day support required of 77 employees across 4 local branches.

Responsible for the development and execution of the Human Resources strategy that aligns with the bank's strategic business plan to address current and future direction of the business.

The HRO will partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute industry leading people strategies and best practice to engage and inspire our teams to deliver outstanding service to all stakeholders. You will lead succession planning and organizational development initiatives.

The HRO partners with managers to provide day to day support of employees utilizing HR expertise and perspective

To be successful in this role, you will:

Possess strong interpersonal, consultative and facilitation skills.
Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders and key partners.
Have experience building succession plans and developing key talent.
Provide thought leadership and guidance to managers regarding employee relations, including coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions
Adjust between strategy and tactical execution seamlessly
Recommend and implement process improvements as needed
Develop and interpret human resources policy to employees and management
Have excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
Possess computer skills, including at least intermediate word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software expertise. Prior experience with payroll procedures and HRIS software preferred.
Manage HR direct reports

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree and specialized human resources training. At least ten years progressively responsible HR management experience. SPHR and/or SHRM SCP designation preferred. Banking experience preferred.
